HISTORY AND EXPLORATION OF THE M/V HILDA
The M/V Hilda - built in Holland in 1939 (and later renamed the M/V Meppel) was sunk off the North coast of Anguilla in 1990 and it's location was lost during hurricane Luis in 1995. In 2009, it was learned that the Hilda played a key role WWII, which created renewed interest in locating her. After a 9 month search, the wreck was found. As of 1 April, 2010, this is a work in progress - a complete history will follow shortly.
